Building Capacity for Altered State Breathwork

Empower Yourself Through Safe, Guided Breathwork Training

Safe, science-based training for intense sessions, taught in a way that still works for normal, everyday stress. If you’ve been looking for an online breathwork course that feels grounded, this is it. I start with simple regulation skills you can use immediately, then help you build real capacity so deeper sessions feel steady, not chaotic.

Neuroscience-backed tools that make every session safer, more meaningful, and easier to integrate into real life

Your Path to Deeper Breathwork Practice

Breathwork is everywhere right now. That’s the good news and the problem.

BreathworkWorkshop-456.webp
This course gives you a progression that makes sense:
  • Start with calm, repeatable practices you can do at home

  • Learn how breath affects stress, sensation, and emotional intensity

  • Build skills that keep you in the driver’s seat

  • Apply those skills to deeper altered-state sessions in a safer, more integrative way

The good news is that breath can shift your state quickly. The problem is that a lot of people jump straight into intensity without understanding what’s happening, then wonder why they feel panicky, flooded, or wired afterward.

Why Jesse Coomer?

I care about what helps you on a random Tuesday. When stress hits. When life gets loud. When you want to stay present instead of spiraling. This training is built around a simple idea: capacity first.

Not because intensity is bad. Because intensity without capacity is unpredictable.

Breathwork Facilitator Training

If you guide others or plan to, this course strengthens your foundation. It’s especially useful if you want to work with more intense sessions responsibly.

You’ll gain:

  • better language for what’s happening when sessions get intense

  • practical pacing tools you can use in real time

  • more confidence in “what do I do when…” moments

  • a safety-first layer that supports any broader breathwork certification path

Self-Development

If you’re doing this for you, the win is simple:

You feel steadier.

You’ll gain:

  • Not just during the session, but afterward. Not just when life is calm, but when life is stressful.

  • You’ll build a calmer baseline, better recovery, and a more sustainable relationship with breathwork.

I teach this course alongside Dr. Aki, so you’re getting both practical breathwork guidance and clear neuroscience-based teaching that helps explain what’s happening in the brain and body during intense altered-state work in a way you can actually use.

That combination matters. I help you understand the lived practice of breathwork, and Dr. Aki helps bring in the scientific context that makes the experience easier to understand, apply, and work with more responsibly

Learn how your breath affects your mind, body, and stress levels

You don’t need a medical background to understand breathwork. You just need the right map.

Inside the course, you’ll learn:

  • why some styles calm you, and others ramp you up

  • what sensations are common in intense sessions, and why they happen

  • how to tell the difference between productive intensity and too much

  • how to recover and integrate so that a session supports your life instead of throwing you off for hours

Learn simple breathing techniques to stay calm and in control

You’ll learn practical breathing tools you can use:

  • when anxiety hits your chest

  • when your mind won’t stop sprinting

  • before a hard conversation

  • after you’ve been “on” all day and need your body to come down

These are the kinds of practices that actually get used, because they fit into daily life.

Learn how to practice breathwork safely and with confidence

A lot of breathwork problems come from one thing: not knowing what to do when intensity rises.

This training teaches you how to:

  • recognize early signs of overwhelm

  • downshift quickly without panic

  • build tolerance gradually instead of forcing breakthroughs

  • prepare before sessions and recover after, so you don’t stay wired

If you’ve ever wondered, “Can breathwork make anxiety worse?” the honest answer is yes, if you push intensity without skills. This course is built to prevent that.

What You’ll Learn Inside the Course

This course is self-paced and built through video lessons and guided practices that help you deepen awareness, expand capacity, and increase safety before, during, and after intense breathwork.

Understanding the Risks and the Brain (Foundations and Safety)

I start by helping you understand what is actually happening in your brain and body during altered-state breathwork, in plain language. This part of the course gives you the foundation most people skip, which is exactly why so many people end up confusing intensity with progress.

Inside this section, you’ll learn how to notice early bodily and emotional signs of dysregulation, why your mental and physical health matter before you practice, and when it makes sense to slow down or not practice at all. I also walk you through the neuroscience of how emotion becomes noticeable through bodily sensations, how to separate sensation from emotion and reactivity, and how to read the physiological signals that shape your experience.

By the end of this section, you’ll have a clearer map of:

Skill-Building for Embodied Altered States

Learn simple breathing techniques to stay calm and in control.webp

This is where the course moves from understanding to actual skill.

I help you build the practical inner skills that let you stay with an experience without bracing, forcing, or checking out. You’ll learn how to translate big or meaningful moments into grounded, usable insight instead of letting them pass by as just another intense session.

This section also includes stabilization and self-regulation work. You’ll practice the core skills that help you stay grounded while under arousal, and you’ll get repeatable guided sessions you can keep returning to over time. That matters because capacity is not built through one breakthrough. It’s built through repetition, discernment, and a nervous system that learns it can stay with more without getting overwhelmed.

Applying Capacity to Intense Sessions (Safer, More Integrative Practice)

Once the foundation and skill-building are in place, I bring everything together in the way it’s meant to be used.

In this section, you’ll learn how to approach intense sessions with better pacing, stronger self-awareness, and better recovery afterward. I also cover something many people miss completely: the role of intention and the value of integration after the session ends. That is often where the real benefit of the work either gets carried into life or gets lost.

This part of the course includes a deep guided altered-state session, but it’s placed here for a reason. The course earns that moment through preparation, self-awareness, and practice first.

You’ll come away with a more grounded way to work with altered states so the experience becomes cumulative, meaningful, and more sustainable over time.

Most People Try Breathwork Without Understanding It — And That’s Where Problems Start

Breathwork gets sold like the goal is the big moment.

But if the big moment leaves you anxious, dysregulated, or emotionally raw for the rest of the day, that’s not progress. That’s just intensity.

This course doesn’t shame intensity. It teaches you how to earn it.
